L´Alpe d`Huez Part III

After all the adrenaline-packed sports, we had to do some more relaxing stuff as well.

Both of us have been golfing a little bit here and there over the past years. But we´re really not good!!! For me it´s been around 1.5 years since hit a golfball for the last time. Considering that, our performance was ok I guess. Although the course was the shortest, I have ever played (and most likely will ever have played). Which didn´t make it easier, as our strenght is clearly hitting as far as possible with a lot of power and not a lot of technique ;)

Catching some sand

Bäm!

This was probably the funniest shot we did on the course. Instead of hitting towards the green straight ahead, Lukas was nearly hitting the post on the very right of the picture.

Lukas gave us a good laugh

Another thing about Alpe d´Huez: They have the craziest landing strip I´ve ever seen. Instead of being flat, it just went downwards (or upwards when landing). And for the extra fun: At the end was a cliff, so you should get your speed right ;)

The views up there were really stunning! We came up that road and it seems that the guys from the Tour de France came up there this year as well. I´m happy we could use the car!

The little Twingo got worked hard

The last day before I had to get home again, we went for a hike. It had rained during the night and was still a little overcast, but the landscape looked stunning. The mountains had a little bit of fresh snow on top, while the valleys were all green.

The landscape looked like photoshopped that morning

A little hut for sheeps deep in the mountains

The lake

And as a little bonus, we could look at the glacier where we skied from our balcony.

So, that was France! Next up will hopefully be a little video edit. And after that´s it´s time for the park-openings on the glaciers I guess :)

L´Alpe d`Huez MTB

So what else did we do over there? Some MTB (DH & XC), some golfing and some hiking.

We started off with a small trip on our own bikes. I have to say, the trails were sometimes quite hard to ride with hardtails ;)

Lukas, ready to go

Cooling off the legs

And after a day on the bikes it was time for a well deserved beer. It was brewed on the hut and tasted, say, different, but still good ;)

The next days, the weather wasn´t as good anymore. But that didn´t make it less fun. As it thundered througout the day, we didn´t get to go on longer trips anymore though.

Usain Bolt to the money

Oh yeah, and it got colder....

After that it was time for some DH.

High five before the start

Survived!

Sometimes you got to pay for fun...

And that was the MTB part of our holiday.

Be sure to check back again soon for the best golfing you have ever seen. Tiger Woods would have had no chance ;)

L´Alpe d´Huez

After one week of fun in l´Alpe d´Huez I´m back in Konstanz. Lukas stays for another probably more relaxing week ;)

We did some skiing, mountainbiking and hiking and it´s most likely that none of us ever did that much sport within one week.

Here are some first impressions of the skiing on the glacier at Les2Alpes:

The glacier was big. And the park: even bigger. The setup was really impressive...

1 p.m. time to go down and enjoy the afternoon

We only skied for two days, but it was good fun. I´m sure we´ll come back. Definitely the best summer park we´ve seen!

The videos will take some time as we´re both pretty busy. But there will be some pictures of the mountainbiking and hiking soon!

Cheers, Max
